Fees and ServicesI offer a FREE 20 minute initial face-to-face or phone consultation for all new clients.
Individual adult or adolescent psychotherapy and yoga psychotherapy sessions. All initial psychotherapy sessions are done in person. Follow-up sessions may be done in person or via telephone. $150 for a 45-50 minute individual session $225 for a 75 minute individual session If you are unable to pay my full fee I do have a limited number of spots available on a sliding scale basis for individuals with limited income. We will discuss this further during our initial consultation. I will accept reimbursement from clients who have an approved crime victim compensation application through the California Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board. If you have been the victim or witness of a crime and are seeking compensation for mental health services, please begin the application process at the CalVCP website. Please contact me when your application is in process. **Evening appointments are available.** Groups and Workshops Fees vary. Some groups are designed to last a certain number of sessions. Others may be ongoing. Please visit the Groups and Workshops page to see a list of my current group offerings. Payment Options Cash, check, or major credit card. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance. Cancellation Policy If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Insurance I am not on any insurance panels, but your insurance may reimburse you for all or part of our sessions. I do not deal directly with insurance companies, but upon request, I will provide you with a monthly invoice that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if applicable. If you have a PPO, your insurance may cover all or part of your therapy. If you intend to seek reimbursement from your health insurance company, you are advised to contact them prior to our first session to ask them the following questions:
You should be aware that submitting a mental health invoice for reimbursement carries a certain amount of risk to your confidentiality and privacy. You should also be aware that most insurance companies require you to authorize me to provide them with a diagnosis. Not all conditions which are the focus of psychotherapy are reimbursed by insurance companies. If you would like to consider using your insurance coverage, I would be happy to discuss the benefits and risks with you. |
